No boundaries, whether geographic, cultural, or ethnic, can restrain the diffusion of optimism and impact that Unmute is determined to bring about to our world. Unmute's Global Chapter Program is arguably the best way for anyone anywhere to get involved in youth-led movements towards cultivating societal reform and advocating for causes that impact our mental well-being. Through this program, we hope to plant seeds for Unmute to bloom all over the world through the hands of many other young, passionate leaders like ourselves. Founding your own organization or social start-up can be quite intimidating and tedious, but through this program, you can direct your own chapter in your region or school and play a pivotal role in our movement towards a happier tomorrow for all - with as little stress as possible. 

Chapter Officer Positions – In order to be an established, official chapter of Unmute, a chapter must have the following officer positions filled (or at least the 3 bolded ones that are required). In the case that you are unable to find co-officers to establish your regional chapter, but still demonstrate interest in doing so, we will still allow you to start your regional chapter and will have our staff assist you in the initiation process as it can be quite intimidating at first.

• Chapter Director: responsible for representing the chapter at events such as meetings  and Unmute's global conferences, directs all meetings, service projects, and events that occur within the chapter, oversees and assigns duties to all other chapter officers, and must report any issues to program director.

• Vice Director: responsible for assisting the chapter director in any way necessary and filling in for their duties in their absence, responsible for establishing and maintaining proper communication between all chapter members and officers, reporting all issues within the chapter to the director, and ensuring that the chapter is and remains active.

• Chapter Secretary: responsible for maintaining all records, meeting minutes, project proposals, and documents relating to the chapter, and is also in charge of communicating all chapter plans in advance to the program director for approval.

• Chapter Editor: serves as a social media representative of the chapter in Unmute's global community on Instagram and other social media platforms by creating social media posts for all events, socials, and service projects conducted by the chapter and communicating and working with Unmute's content creation team to publish posts that align with Unmute's aesthetic. The editor will also be in charge of submitting the monthly mini-newsletter that contains pictures and descriptions all of the chapter's activities from the past month, upcoming month's event calendar, and chapter officers' info.

• Event Manager: responsible for ideating and organizing chapter events, socials, and engaging activities for monthly meetings. The Event Manager will also serve as a representative of their chapter when reaching out to other regional organizations or members of the community to assist or collaborate with for various events that the chapter may want to conduct.

• Promotions Manager: responsible for creating posters, social media posts, and other forms of advertisements for major chapter events and to recruit more members for their regional chapter, will be expected to communicate and work with Unmute's Marketing Team to purse marketing efforts that align with Unmute's brand identity and voice.

Service Projects – To maximize of our global chapters, and encourage our program/chapter members to get more involved in our world, we have decided to conduct community service projects and challenges in which each chapter's participation will be required. There will be multiple service ideas sent out each month to all chapter directors, however chapters will only be required to complete projects bimonthly and will gain additional points for going beyond the minimum requirement which will give their chapter an advantage against others during challenges.

Chapter Competitions – Unmute will have seasonal chapter challenges where all chapters will be competing against one another for global recognition as Unmute's Chapter Of The Year. At the beginning of the competition, chapters will be given the option to unite with other chapters of their geographic region to be a stronger competitor against opponents. Competitors will also be allowed (and encouraged) to make non-monetary bets against each other at the start of the competition to make the challenges more interesting. Details of each specific challenge within the competition will be explained before the actual competition begins, however, most challenges will revolve around community service and spreading positivity and kindness in the world in various ways. Each season, the chapter with the most points at the end of the challenge will be awarded a grand sum of points for their victory putting them at a significant advantage over others for the Chapter Of The Year Award that is given in December.

Communication – Is an imperative and heavily emphasized element of Unmute's Global Chapter Program as it is vital to inform the program's director and Unmute's headquarters about all projects and events conducted by chapters through Unmute's name and brand, as we are responsible for all outcomes whether good or bad. It is also crucial for us to ensure that all chapters are preserving and positively influencing Unmute's culture and voice through their chapters so that we can continue to progress as a brand and grow our branches around the world in alignment with Unmute's purpose and mission. Communication is the key to preserving Unmute's core fundamentals and vision as we expand internationally.
