Brand Ambassador [Internship] program

Unmute is an initiative with a vision to connect changemakers and the voices of today’s youth all around the world in a united effort to reform the way we see our mental health and break all taboos and limits we have imposed on ourselves as a society. Our initiative is built of and by the united voices of today’s youth. Hence it is imperative that our message and influence is delivered through the leading voices of both today and tomorrow. Instead of having our ambassadors blindly spread the word about us, we believe that through this program, our ambassadors will be able to thoroughly immerse themselves in and be impacted by our mission before spreading it to their own worlds.

What does an ambassador do?

This program is a network of teens and young adults who share our passion for changing the world one smile at a time. Our ambassadors are like branches to Unmute's tree and work to spread our impact, influence, and mindset to all corners of the world. Every 5th of every month, the program's director will send out assignments to each ambassador to be completed by the month's end. These tasks will usually consist of assisting in marketing Unmute's brand and identity by promoting our social media content, program launches, social media events, collaborations with other organizations and activists, new blogs and podcasts, and essentially endorsing Unmute's culture in its entirety. They will also be able to choose an executive department within Unmute in which they would like to get more involved with (ex: Tech Development, Marketing & PR, Content Creation, etc), and based on the intern's performance, they will be promoted to an executive position within the team! Ambassadors will also serve as the representatives of our company when recruiting and establishing our foreign branches.

Why become an ambassador for Unmute?

This is essentially an internship program where you will walk away with more than just a certificate, Letter of Recommendation, community service hours, and a resume enhancement (though you will be earning everything listed above). Through endorsing our brand, our global community of like-minded leaders and Unmute itself will embrace you and guide you towards embracing your own true voice. We hope that all of our ambassadors will gain more from this experience than credentials, but also self-empowerment and confidence to face their demons and speak out for themselves and their beliefs in society. Each ambassador holds a pivotal role in our mission, yet the time and energy commitment is minimal. We understand that our staff members also have various other passions and pursuits, hence we always try to be as flexible and lenient as possible and maintain a stress-free environment for our team.

How do you become an ambassador? 

We've made the application process as easy as can be! Click the button in the column above to access the google form to apply. Please respond to all written-response questions with quality and sincerity and present yourself as accurately as possible. All questions must be answered truthfully as it will have an impact on your acceptance into this program. Once accepted, there will be a meeting arranged to introduce yourself to the program director, company executives, and your actual duties as an ambassador. Responsibilities of all ambassadors

Communication is the most vital component and responsibility in this program. It is an expectation that all ambassadors respect and respond to the program director, Unmute's executives, and other co-workers in a timely manner. Responsibilities include [but aren't limited to]: completing all monthly assignments, being present at all events, and utilizing all opportunities and platforms to promote Unmute's brand to as many people as possible. It is trusted [and imperative] that all ambassadors present Unmute with honesty, integrity, and benevolence. In the case that Unmute is hosting youth conferences or open to public social media events, besides promoting the event itself, ambassadors will also be expected to be actively engaging our audience and coordinating the event's logistics with the event management team and the events' attendees. Our Brand Ambassadors are some of the most trusted members of Unmute, hence it is expected that when taking on this role, ambassadors agree to oblige by all rules and fulfill their responsibilities.
